Available Tools

The following read-only tools are currently available through the MCP server:

  • hotel-search - returns a list of relevant hotels based on destination, travel dates and other search criteria provided by the user

  • hotel-details - returns details about a specific hotel

Claude Setup

For Organization Owners (Team and Enterprise)

  1. Navigate to Admin settings > Connectors

  2. Select “Browse connectors”

  3. Search and select “DirectBooker”

  4. Select “Add to your team”

  5. Review and accept the requested permissions

For Individual Claude Users

  1. Navigate to Settings > Connectors or the Claude MCP Directory

  2. Select “Browse connectors”

  3. Search and select “DirectBooker”

  4. Click "Connect" on the DirectBooker MCP Server

  5. Review and accept the requested permissions

Note: No OAuth authentication is required. DirectBooker provides hotel search capabilities without requiring you to create a DirectBooker account.

Once you complete the steps above, you are ready to search. You can explicitly invoke DirectBooker's hotel prices by typing @directbooker before your prompt.

Example 1: Planning a Weekend Trip

User prompt: "I'm looking for a hotel in Austin this weekend. Something walkable to downtown restaurants and live music, under $250/night."

What happens:

  • DirectBooker searches Austin hotels for the upcoming weekend (auto-detects Friday-Sunday)

What happens:

  • DirectBooker searches San Diego beachfront hotels for July (clarifies specific dates if needed)

  • Filters for family-friendly properties with pools and kid amenities

  • Considers occupancy for 2 adults + 2 children

  • Ranks by value proposition (combining price, location, amenities, direct booking extras)

Example 4: Conference Attendance

User prompt: "I'm attending a conference at the Austin Convention Center March 15-18. Want to stay close enough to walk, but prefer a quieter hotel for sleeping. Also need good WiFi for evening work."

What happens:

  • DirectBooker searches hotels near Austin Convention Center for March 15-18
