Give travelers the hotel price they trust.

Hotel direct rates are part of trusted discovery

Travelers look for hotels in AI assistants, on search engines and on maps, and even hand the task over to AI agents. Wherever they search, they expect complete answers, and for most of them that includes the hotel's own price. DirectBooker gives search, AI and agentic platforms direct rates, member prices and hotel content for about 1 million hotels worldwide, through one integration.

Travelers want to book direct

About 70% of travelers prefer to book directly with the hotel. Their reasons are consistent: better service if something goes wrong, easier changes, recognition on arrival and loyalty benefits.

Direct rates are often the best deal too. Member rates are often 5-15% below the lowest OTA price, and they come with perks like breakfast, upgrades or late checkout. The six chains we've signed have more than 250 million loyalty members between them. Results without direct rates leave out the option many travelers want most.

Why direct rates are hard to get

Hotels don't share a common API for direct rates. Direct distribution runs through a fragmented mix of reservation systems, booking engines and connectivity providers, with many vendors at each layer.

The long tail matters. More than 40% of US hotels are independent, and over 60% in Europe. And hotel systems aren't built for the volume of exploratory searches that search and AI platforms generate.

OTAs are the fastest way to add hotels, but they cover only commission-eligible inventory and can't show member rates or direct-booking perks.

What DirectBooker delivers

  • Comprehensive coverage: about 1 million hotels worldwide, from global chains to independents

  • Direct and member rates: real-time rates from hotels' own channels, with member and loyalty rates from participating brands, clearly labeled

  • The hotel's own content: descriptions, photos, amenities and direct-booking perks

  • Built for platform query volumes: cached, normalized data that answers broad searches quickly without hitting hotel systems

  • Bookings made with the hotel: every result hands off to the hotel's own booking channel

  • The format you use: the Model Context Protocol (MCP) for AI assistants and agents, and standard price feed formats for search and maps

Built for every way travelers search

AI assistants. A traveler asks, "Where should I stay in Lisbon next weekend?" Through MCP, DirectBooker returns matching hotels with direct and member rates, the hotel's own content and booking links. The assistant uses that data to write its answer.

AI agents. Agents can search, compare and act on DirectBooker's structured data. When it's time to book, we hand off to whatever the hotel supports. Agents can continue to the hotel's own booking page, with dates and guests already filled in, and carry on the booking there for the traveler. Where a hotel runs its own MCP server, we can hand off to it for booking and reservation management.

Search and maps. For search and map platforms, we can deliver the same direct rates in the price feed formats you already use, so hotels can appear with their direct price alongside other options in listings and comparisons.

DirectBooker is non-exclusive and works alongside the OTA partners you may already have. Direct and member rates allow travelers to see the full range of options available to them.

How partnership works

  1. Talk to us. We'll discuss your product, your markets and how you'd like hotel results to appear.

  2. Agree terms. Access is by direct agreement only. There's no public endpoint.

  3. Integrate. We connect your platform to DirectBooker, through MCP or a price feed format.

  4. Launch. Your users get direct rates and a direct path to book, and new hotels and features reach you as we add them.

Building something else?

DirectBooker partners with the platforms travelers use to search for and book hotels. We don't currently offer access to other businesses that want to use DirectBooker data in their own products, apps or services. We may in the future. If you're interested, let us know.

If you run a search, AI or agentic platform, get in touch to bring direct hotel rates to your users.

Frequently asked questions

  • No. DirectBooker is a supplier-aligned aggregator. We never become the merchant of record, never take payment and never own the guest relationship. Every booking is made with the hotel, on its website or through its own booking tools.

  • For AI assistants and agents, we deliver data through the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard supported by the major AI platforms. For search and map platforms, we can deliver direct rates in the price feed formats those platforms likely already use. If you need something different, talk to us.

  • Agentic booking is still evolving, and what's possible depends on each agent and each hotel. DirectBooker hands off to whatever the hotel supports. Agents can continue to the hotel's booking page, with dates and guests already filled in, and carry on the booking there for the traveler. Where a hotel has its own MCP server, we can hand off to it for booking and reservation management. Either way, the booking is made with the hotel. DirectBooker never takes the booking or the payment.

  • Hotel chains and connectivity providers send us their property lists, rates and availability. For hotels that haven't integrated yet, we show publicly available hotel content and direct rates.

  • We refresh rates and availability from hotel feeds continuously, and cache them so broad searches are answered quickly. When a traveler narrows in on specific hotels and dates, a dedicated availability check returns the lowest direct rate.

  • No. Our ranking is independent of commission. We match hotels to what the traveler asks for, and when several fit, we aim to highlight those offering more value for booking direct. Your platform can re-rank results using its own criteria.

  • Member rates are clearly labeled, and each hotel chooses if, when and how they appear. We pass these rules to your platform as part of the data.

  • Yes. DirectBooker is non-exclusive. Many travelers want to compare direct and OTA prices, and showing both gives them a complete picture.

  • No. The DirectBooker connectors in ChatGPT and Claude are for individual travelers planning their own trips. Commercial, automated or programmatic use requires a direct agreement with DirectBooker.
